Cafe Brown
Can I remove the color of my velvet fabric that is cream so white?
I brought this fabric because I liked it, but they only had milky coffee brown, so I thought that if I remove the color that would be fine. Mal ... Rit color remover I tried not stage (did launder latex backing though) I tried a spot check with chlorine, it does not work, I'm in my final opinion because I spent 144.00 not this tissue and can not remove the color. Does anyone have any suggestions ....
Do not tell me what the fiber content is, but can not remove dye from synthetic fabrics (I suppose, since it has a backup latex is a synthetic, probably polyester or viscose). Once they are chemically bonded and heat become part of the fibers and nothing will change. Bleach only works on natural fibers like cotton, wool and silk. Color Remover works only on natural fibers and some nylon that have been colored with dyes soluble water, heat is not chemical dyes. I'm afraid you'll have to learn to love the color cafe con leche. I suggest you stop wasting your time over it before it broke. Maybe sell it on Craigslist, if you really hate.
