day trips paris normandy
If you were in Paris for only 4 days, more details in March, what would you suggest?
We'll take the train from London. We thought to take a day or 1 night trip to Normandy or elsewhere in the same distance from Paris. Any ideas on this or what to do in Paris would be greatly appreciated. The trip will be mid-March
I used to live in France and you can do in this short period of time, believe me. I do not have our Dame, Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, boat ride on the Seine and more in just 3 days. It can be done. Much is available at foot that helps and if you set yourself a plan, it should help. For example: Day 1: Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe as definite Day 2: Louvre & Eiffel Tower as definite Day 3: Boat trip along the Seine as a specific day 4: Normandy If you give yourself a few goals each day and then wander, you will see many Paris. I definitely recommend Normandy. I went for a week when I was in high school and it's unbelievable. If you can get some of the cemeteries, they are well worth seeing - British, American and German. If you have time, some things are worth see are the 360-degree cinema, Airborne Troops Museum and many of the D-Day Landing Sites. It's really a great experience but all you have done is incredible.
