Help and tips for fishing in Australia??? cannot get a bite?

Hello, Ive just moved into a channel property in Queensland, and I can see fish jumping all around, and sometimes dolphins cruise to the feeding, breeding of fish in the end of the channel where I live. I bought an ugly stick, and I'm with blood worms, but no bites in a few days. Fishing up / run of tide. What am I doing wrong? Have hook bream, and ok put in place, and I had a good fish in other places in the past (deep water etc) for'm not a totally dumb chick ... Im at a loss, if I can see why the fish, i cannot a jag????

Try using lighter fishing lines, there was a time when I fish in a lake with another foreign fishing boy next to me. I was catching fish after fish and he did't even have a bite. Finally, he asked me what was wrong! after checking his vehicle, I noticed he was using a Lead £ 30 and I was using 6 pounds. I change the platform, change his presentation and he began to catch fish. Sometimes is how we present the bait and try not to be too visible to the fish. If they feel a threat rather they do not eat. Would you? This is the fun part about fishing is to find and keep trying new things. Good luck.
